Job summary

Newburyport Bank in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, coach staff, and model sales and service standards to ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

You will partner with management to hit sales goals, manage scheduling, compliance, and community engagement, while maintaining product knowledge and applying bank policies across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail banking and/or customer service experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations and systems; ability to work at any branch location as needed.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, trains, and develops branch staff through regular feedback and performance reviews.
• Oversees daily branch operations, including staffing, opening/closing, cash handling, audits, and reports.
• Partners with management to achieve branch sales goals, develop sales strategies, and strengthen customer relationships.
