Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants seeks a Guest Service Agent to handle registration, check-out, PBX operations, and guest communications with a focus on creating memorable, personal experiences.

You will act as an advocate for the hotel, build guest relationships to encourage repeat visits, and work within a team to deliver service that reflects our boutique culture with warmth and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role preferred.
• Knowledgeable about local area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work under pressure with many arrivals and departures.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, providing complete information.
• Complete all items on appropriate shift checklists.
• Pre-assign hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit lost & found articles with reports.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift cash/credit transactions.
• Verify credit limit reports.
• Monitor room availability throughout the day.
• Review daily selling status using yield management system.
• Attend department meetings monthly.
• Communicate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
