Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations in Reno, NV. This casual, on-call role requires availability five days a week, with hours 7:45am–4:15pm as needed, not guaranteed as a steady income stream.

The role focuses on biometric processing, screening entrants, and maintaining security and visitor logs, while delivering high-quality customer service to applicants and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand for scheduled shift duration and to handle fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all entrants are approved applicants and visitors while managing crowd control.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the US Government.
• Safeguard areas with Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and ensure privacy.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist in calling local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
• Manage administrative paperwork and maintain visitor control logs.
