Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Billing Specialist I to handle inbound customer inquiries via phone and email. You will be the first line of contact for customers, processing invoices and related requests with accuracy and efficiency.

The role involves collaborating with multiple departments to resolve billing concerns, auditing invoices, and maintaining clear documentation. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential, as is experience with Excel and Oracle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of billing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid accounting, organizational, attention to detail and time management skills.
• Experience with customers or vendors to resolve issues and maintain a strong customer service track record.
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and account adjustments accurately and on time.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts in billing systems.
• Review, verify, and audit billing information for accuracy.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
• Monitor billing reports and identify exceptions or issues.
• Assist with collections activities and payment tracking as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Maintain records and supporting documentation.
• Follow billing policies and regulatory requirements.
