Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Billing Specialist I to serve as the first line of contact for customers, handling inquiries via phone and email. The role supports billing processes across departments, audits invoices, and ensures accurate account records.

You will contribute to improving billing efficiency and accuracy while maintaining strict compliance with policies. The position requires a HS diploma with billing experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel and Oracle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of billing-related experience; higher education adds 1+ year experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience with Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and account adjustments accurately and on time.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts within billing systems.
• Review and audit billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Post payments and adjustments to accounts.
• Monitor billing reports for exceptions and issues.
• Assist with collections-related activities and payment tracking.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Maintain supporting documentation and comply with policies.
