Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a lead Billing Associate to organize and direct scheduling operations within our patient services team.

This role coordinates office functions, handles scheduling-related tasks, and serves as a primary liaison between staff, patients, and health care professionals, mainly by phone and email. You will train new staff, monitor compliance with practice standards, manage provider schedules, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a busy

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (or combination of education/experience).
• Work Experience: 5 years relevant experience.
• Skills: Computer literacy, data entry, Epic EHR, managed care operations, medical terminology, telephone communications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors staff performance to ensure quality care and compliance with standards.
• Ensures appointments are scheduled per procedures, including scheduling transactions, registration review, and pre-arrival processes.
• Triages patient phone calls, tasks and emails with physician and staff as needed.
• Collaborates with team to solve problems of moderate/complex nature.
• Assists in managing providers' schedules, templates, and master schedules per protocols.
