Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Manager, Client Accounts to lead billing support for senior management, lawyers, and clients. The role drives best practices, develops reporting, and aligns with strategic goals to deliver exceptional client service.

You will supervise Client Account Analysts, manage monthly closes, and implement training to ensure consistent global billing processes. A strong background in finance/billing within professional services is essential.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in a billing function in a law or professional services firm.
• 2+ years in a management or supervisory position is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as Elite and/or Aderant; experience with e-Billing applications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Client Account Analysts, ensuring alignment with firm billing practices and procedures.
• Oversee monthly billing close and reporting processes; provide issue-resolution guidance.
• Coach and develop team; conduct performance reviews and onboarding of new staff.
• Create and validate complex monthly reporting; identify additional reporting needs.
• Escalate unresolved billing or reporting issues to senior management for timely resolution.
