Job summary

Prosper Health & Rehab is seeking a highly organized Business Office Manager to oversee facility billing, accounts receivable, and collections, and to supervise billing staff. The role aims to achieve cash collection and AR targets while ensuring compliance with financial regulations across the facility.

Key duties include Medicaid pending applications support, bank deposits, reconciliations, liaison with home office billing, census balancing, resident trust accounts, petty cash, and strict

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled nursing/ long term care facility.
• Computer and collection experience
• Must have working knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing
• Bachelor or Associate degree from accredited college with specialization in business or accounting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with Medicaid Pending applications and works with resident, family and applicable outside agencies to finalize facility coverage through Medicaid.
• Establishes and maintains a system of financial record keeping, including receipts, bank deposits, and recording payments.
• Interacts with home office billing team and payers to define billing requirements and ensures prompt payment of claims.
• Manages census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing with the nursing and admissions departments.
• Responsible for Resident Trust Account and reconciliations.
• Responsible for petty cash and collections.
• Confidentiality and privacy of all data.
