Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Welcome Coordinator who speaks Cantonese and Mandarin to create an inclusive, patient-first environment. You will manage check-in, forms, co-pays, EMR updates, and appointment scheduling while handling calls, faxes, and center upkeep.

The role requires strong computer skills, professional phone etiquette, and US work authorization, with some college preferred. The position is full-time and onsite in the Chicago area, with potential center Float.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of Google Suite.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken in the communities we serve.
• US work authorization.
• Customer service experience in a professional setting preferred.
• Some college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Updating patient information in the electronic medical record platform.
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments within the EMR platform.
• Managing phone lines by answering, taking messages, and making outbound calls.
• Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of Welcome and Community Room areas.
• May float to other centers in the region on an infrequent basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
