Job summary

Lukos seeks a Custody Resource Coordinator in Irvine, CA, to manage calls to the ICE Victims Engagement and Services Line and assist ERO by connecting victims with resources. The CRC will liaise with community partners and operate from the ECCO in Irvine, reporting to the CRC Program Manager in Washington, D.C.

Role requires bilingual Spanish fluency, strong communication, and project management skills, with ability to work under stress in a multi-cultural setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work or Psychology; Master’s degree preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish; able to work in a multilingual environment.
• Experience in detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting preferred.
• US citizenship and favorable DHS background fitness required.

Responsibilities

• Manage calls to the VESL, the ICE Victims Engagement and Services Line.
• Research resources available for victims.
• Provide victims with information regarding the noncitizen’s custody status.
• Work with ERO Community Relations Officers to obtain information after contact with victim.
• Assist victims in registering for DHS VINE.
• Facilitate victims providing a victim impact statement.
• Provide resources to victims as needed.
• Provide back-up CRC support to detention facilities and ERO Field Offices during surges or crises.
