Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a branch customer service associate to deliver a differentiated in‑person experience. You will balance and process transactions, greet customers, and guide them to digital tools while identifying opportunities to connect with bank partners.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and a friendly, efficient service standard. Your responsibilities include handling daily cash tasks, supporting AML/KYC activities, and maintaining branch operations with attention to risk controls

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Fluent communication both verbally and in writing with bank customers in English and a second language; proficiency determined by assessment.
Strong interpersonal and time‑management skills; excellent customer service expected.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional branch customer service and resolve routine problems promptly.
Educate customers through digital demos; identify self‑service opportunities.
Greet customers in lobby and address immediate needs; log complaints in the system.
Accurately balance and process transactions per Bank Policy; transition sales opportunities to banking partners.
Complete branch operations such as cash orders, vault, ATM, wires, and general maintenance.
Adhere to AML/KYC/BSA processes and regulatory requirements.
Maintain internal controls and support audit findings; uphold M&T Bank brand.
