Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, including shift management in their absence.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Answer the telephone according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers about shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure; use outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct payment methods and stage returns properly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks and ensure completion.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule; clock in/out per policy; manage day-end procedures.
• Perform all opening/closing duties and secure money, deposits, and building; check/secure delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
