Job summary

Women In Need, Inc. (Win) is seeking a Program Director to lead the day-to-day operations of a transitional family residence serving families with children.

The role ensures smooth, safe, and effective program delivery while maintaining full compliance with NYS OTDA, DHS, and Win standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive client outcomes across housing and employment goals, and ensure meticulous documentation and collaboration with community partners.

Qualifications

• Requires MPH, MSW, or MA in Health or Social Services.
• Five years of human services experience, at least three in a supervisory role with staff and budget responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC).
• Strong professional judgment, boundary-setting, and cultural awareness.
• Experience with CARES (preferred) and workplace technology.
• Must be flexible and able to be on call 24/7; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of social service professionals.
• Coordinate integration of employment, childcare, and recreation to improve client outcomes.
• Coach, train, and develop staff to drive performance and growth.
• Implement EBP, TIC, and MI in daily operations.
• Monitor performance towards housing, employment and family stability goals.
• Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with program standards and CARES systems.
• Foster partnerships with community providers and stakeholders to expand services.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, high-quality environment for residents and staff.
