Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Rutland, VT is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, customer service, appearance, and operations, including shift management as needed. You will lead store team members, ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, transfers, and returns, and maintain merchandising and cash handling per policy.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; prior auto parts retail experience and ASE/RSS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience in auto parts preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to provide excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the showroom floor with program execution.
• Ensure telephone calls are answered according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders promptly and inform customers of shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges accurately and manage refunds and merchandising.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before it leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule and appropriate clock-ins/outs.
• Perform opening/closing duties and cash handling per policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
