Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will also assume shift management in the absence of leadership.

As a key member of the team, you will lead exceptional customer service, supervise showroom performance, and ensure accurate processing of orders, returns, and inventory while maintaining store standards and security.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution of service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly in the returns area.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks for completion as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule; changes or deviations are approved by management and team members clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties: day-end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles in the designated area.
• All other duties as assigned.
