Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance, office scheduling, and billing processes.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Register new and returning patients with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments based on provider availability.
• Verify Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on procedures, documentation, and potential out-of-pocket costs.
• Collect co-pays and process payments; provide information on Sliding Fee Discount Program.
• Maintain patient records in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
