Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in daily property maintenance across our communities. The role covers routine, corrective, preventative, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance under supervision.

You will participate in make-ready tasks and ensure safety and cleanliness of common areas and units. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Community Maintenance – attend daily onsite and respond to requests and work orders.
• Ensure repairs and replacements are completed for common areas and units.
• Assist scheduling and performance of maintenance/repair-related turn events.
• Assist in daily exterior cleanup of the community including grounds and common areas.
• Perform swimming pool maintenance and maintain chemical logs.
• Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify hazards.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the property.
• Follow Asset Living key policy and safety standards (OSHA).
• Maintain organized maintenance shop and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in hazard communications and safety training.
• Participate in unit inspections and monitor inventory of equipment.
• Maintain records of service requests and EPA/OSHA standards.
• General upkeep of office, common areas, and model units.
• Report violations to Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager.
• Participate in on-call emergencies and respond as needed.
• Use resources economically and efficiently.
• Take on additional tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Customer & Resident Relations – manage service requests and ensure timely response.
• Project a positive image of the property and enforce policies.
