AdaptHealth LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist (Bilingual) to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals and reviewing clinical documentation. You will work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward efficiently.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center or customer service preferred.
• Experience within a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with analytical, problem-solving and detail orientation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office and healthcare systems are a plus.
• Comfort learning new technologies and navigating multiple systems.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records, payer guidelines and eligibility prior to service delivery.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Inform patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements and offer options.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians and clinical teams for complete documentation.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic systems.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes and meet productivity/quality standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure inventory and services are scheduled.
