Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently.

You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, billing, or call center roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records, payer guidelines, and documentation to determine eligibility and qualification status.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Notify patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements and propose alternatives.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of payer requirements to ensure compliant service delivery.
• Enter referrals and maintain accurate patient information in electronic systems.
