Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance while delivering a seamless front-office experience. The role collaborates with clinical teams and reports to the Clinic Manager, with support from the PES.

Responsibilities include managing admissions, insurance verification, and patient payments, using EMR systems and dashboards to monitor performance and improve patient engagement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge and Technical Skills: Excellent customer service, proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel), knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits, experience with requesting and managing customer payments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration with demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows and optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy, insurance verification turnaround, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to track patient outcomes.
