Job summary

Lukos LLC seeks a Custody and Resource Coordinator (CRC) to assist ERO Field Office and detention staff in maintaining a safe detention environment in San Diego, CA. The CRC provides responsive support to detention populations on victims’ needs, trauma, health care, and crisis situations.

Situated at ICE detention facilities or offices, the CRC will coordinate resources, support sensitive populations, and help ensure compliance with detention standards while coordinating with field and HQ staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.
• At least two years of related experience (victims, trauma-informed programming, immigrants/foreign-born) at local level.
• Experience with victims or individuals in confinement or custodial settings.
• At least two years providing services to vulnerable populations.
• Experience with situations contributing to family/individual stress, problems, crises.

Responsibilities

• Assist detainees with needs, requests, and complaints using ICE forms or similar processes.
• Support ERO staff with parent/child communication and child welfare matters.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities upon request.
• Facilitate discussions and communications with detained noncitizens on sensitive topics.
• Provide noncitizen referrals for medical, mental health, chaplain, and other care.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to answer questions and orient them to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations (e.g., mental health, family centers).
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
