Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Social Work - Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ERO field offices and detention staff at facilities in Winnfield, LA. The CRC assists detained individuals on sensitive issues and ensures compliance with policies, while coordinating victim support, health care, and crisis intervention.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed services, cross-cultural communication, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain safe detention environments and humane treatment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs and requests via ICE Detainee Request Form or other channels.
• Help ERO officers address parent/child communication and child welfare issues.
• Coordinate disability accommodations and ensure follow-up with detention facilities.
• Facilitate discussions and communications on detainee care, including sexual abuse, health, and housing concerns.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC and ERO use.
