Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Billing Customer Service Representative (Billing II) to assist members with health care billing and payment options. This full-time role involves handling 50–70 calls daily, offering compassionate guidance and resolving escalated issues while navigating billing systems.

The position requires bilingual English/Spanish skills, call center experience, and healthcare billing knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 2+ years in a high-volume call center.
• 2+ years in a medical/healthcare setting resolving customer health care concerns.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims billing and eligibility processes.
• Ability to translate healthcare jargon into simple, actionable steps.
• Proficient with Windows PC applications.
• Ability to work any nine-hour shift, including breaks and lunches, Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–8:00 PM ET.
• Commit to full-time attendance during the 90-day training (9:00 AM–5:30 PM ET).
• Strong listening, rapport-building and conflict management.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representative regarding patient bill balances, payment plans, and general concerns.
• Evaluate and respond to all aspects of billing inquiries, including billing insurances and updating invoices.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints.
• Navigate the Quest Billing System and other applicable applications.
• Maintain tracking log of all patient contacts.
• Perform additional projects or tasks based on business need.
• Maintain all compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times.
