Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Billing Supervisor - Bilingual to lead a team of 15-18 patient engagement representatives. This role focuses on mentoring, quality assurance, and performance management while driving department metrics in a primarily remote setting with flexible 8-hour shifts between 8:30am and 8:00pm ET.

The position requires strong communication skills, HIPAA adherence, and cross-department collaboration to resolve patient, physician, and insurer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish with medical terminology preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage phone metrics and ensure team handles calls with first call resolution.
• Coordinate with Workforce Management to ensure calls are answered and assist agents finishing calls.
• Ensure best practices for billing inquiries including balances, adjustments/refunds, payment plans and pricing.
• Lead a team to meet department metrics and deliverables on time.
• Teach direct reports the Billing system and collection processes.
• Coach and escalate as needed to maintain service levels and quality.
• Lead the team on new tools for improved outcomes and efficiency.
• Provide performance feedback and development plans to staff.
