Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Billing Customer Service Representative to assist members with health plan questions and to help them access care efficiently. The role involves supporting up to 70 callers daily, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining patient contact logs with careful attention to HIPAA compliance.

The position requires full-time attendance during training, followed by a fixed 9-hour shift between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual, English and Spanish required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High-school diploma or GED accepted.
• 1+ year call center experience handling high-volume inbound calls.
• 1+ year healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims billing/finance and eligibility processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representatives.
• Evaluate and respond to all aspects of billing inquiries.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues.
• Navigate Quest Billing System and related applications.
• Maintain tracking log of all patient contacts.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
