Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Billing Supervisor to lead a Monday–Friday shift (7:30 AM–4:30 PM Central) overseeing billing operations and a team, ensuring quality metrics and timely performance. The role offers a strong benefits package and potential annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical billing, leadership, laboratory, third party payors and/or managing accounts receivables experience is preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft business applications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
• Must have experience managing multiple operational teams or functions

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, monitor, and terminate direct reports
• Ensure staff are adequately trained
• Monitor front end operations, production tracking, quality, and reports to meet metrics
• Train and cross-train employees and new hires
• Coordinate IT provisioning for new users and access
• Identify QC issues and develop corrective actions with QA/QC
• Recommend actions based on production and quality issues
• Provide contingency plans for vacations and absences
• Communicate with stakeholders and customers regularly
• Document SOPs, job aids, and business rules
• Resolve issues across departments as needed
• Monitor metrics for related functions and adjust staffing as needed
• Address patient complaints and escalate as required
• Support process improvements and automation projects
• Facilitate meetings and maintain HIPAA compliance
• Coordinate scheduling and overtime; prepare for month-end
• Monitor system performance issues and drive resolutions
• Comply with all regulations and duties as assigned
