Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a bilingual Customer Care Representative II to handle billing inquiries and guide members toward correct health care options. You will support up to 70 callers daily with empathetic service, translating medical terms into clear language and resolving issues across the billing platform.

Starting Oct 5th in a full-time role, you will undergo training and then receive a regular 9-hour shift schedule between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM ET.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual, English and Spanish.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be a high-school graduate or have a GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume call center.
• 1+ years in a medical office/health care setting resolving health care concerns.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims billing/finance and eligibility processes.
• Able to translate healthcare jargon into simple steps.
• Proficient with Windows PC applications and computer systems.
• Willing to work nine-hour shifts Mon-Fri between 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM ET.
• Commit to full-time attendance during training; accountable and independent.
• Strong listening, rapport-building and compassionate customer handling.
• Confident conflict management for stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representatives.
• Translate medical terminology into easy-to-understand information.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and complaints.
• Navigate Quest Billing System and applicable applications.
• Maintain a tracking log of all patient contacts.
• Perform additional projects as needed and uphold HIPAA regulations.
