Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods, Matthews, NC is seeking a Bike Technician to deliver a differentiated customer experience by building and repairing bicycles to established standards. You will engage with cyclists, recommend products, and help assemble equipment in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will maintain Bike Department signage, support warranty programs, and strive to hit sales goals through product knowledge and friendly service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour)
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking

Responsibilities

• Build and repair bicycles according to established procedures.
• Provide passionate customer service and sell through customer engagement.
• Assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain Bike Department merchandise presentation and signage to company standards.
• Promote programs including warranty sales and loyalty scores, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
