Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel and teach LifeWise curriculum in public school settings, with both churched and unchurched students. Ideal candidates are active church participants with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

The role requires completing the teacher certification, attending LifeWise events, maintaining classroom records, and engaging with the community while modeling LifeWise

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience with students.
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students and praying for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging and redemptive classroom environment.
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and health notes.
• Prepare materials for substitutes as needed.
• Communicate with program director and school personnel; promote LifeWise mission.
