Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise Teacher to share the gospel in classroom settings with both churched and unchurched public school students. The ideal candidate participates actively in a local church, demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and loves mentoring children through redemptive teaching methods.

You will complete required training, teach LifeWise classes, maintain records, and act as a LifeWise ambassador in the community, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience with students in school or church settings.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit attendance.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization; engage students and build relationships in a redemptive classroom.
• Maintain attendance records and ensure rosters reflect health concerns, special needs, and parent permissions; provide materials for substitutes as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and know emergency procedures; procure supplies with program funds as needed.
• Communicate as a LifeWise Academy ambassador, participate in open houses, coordinate with school personnel, and share updates and stories with the director.
