Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms. The candidate should be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

The role includes training, teaching LifeWise classes, maintaining records, and representing LifeWise in outreach activities within the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Maintain attendance records, rosters, health notes and permissions; provide info for substitutes as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and be prepared for emergencies; purchase supplies as needed with program funds.
• Communicate as LifeWise Academy ambassador, participate in events, and maintain dialogue with schools and volunteers.
