Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Business Group Data Steward to define how data is defined, shared, and reused across BES disciplines. This leadership role sits within HDR’s Building Engineering Services and partners with SME experts and technical authorities to enable better decisions, data reuse, and project delivery excellence.

The role is embedded in the BES Business Group, not IT, focusing on enabling data-driven workflows and cross-disciplinary alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, CS or related.
• At least 10 years in Architecture Engineering industry.
• Experience leading data-centric teams.
• Ability to work with leaders, operations managers, tech directors and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Define technical standards and data definitions across BES.
• Coordinate SME expertise and align data practices.
• Promote data quality, access control, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets.
• Lead change management for data standards and tools.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Enterprise Data Ops teams.
• Ensure data workflows align with BES BG strategy.
