Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to lead data definitions and governance across the Building Engineering Services Group. This is a leadership role coordinating subject matter experts to ensure data quality and reuse across projects.

You will shape data standards, enable data-driven decisions, and work with IT and project teams to drive consistency and analytics readiness. HDR values employee ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Architecture/Engineering data environments.
• Experience leading diverse data-focused teams and initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across functions.
• HDR values and employee-owned culture alignment.

Responsibilities

• Establish SME network across BES BG to define technical standards and align with enterprise data practices.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms supporting data models and AI use cases.
• Use your network to build alignment around data processes, priority, and usage expectations.
• Promote responsible data use, data quality, and data reuse across BES.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, lifecycle).
• Promote data fluency across the BES BG.
• Coordinate with Technology/Professional Services Directors to align workflows to BES BG strategy.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Communicate and collaborate with other Data Stewards and Enterprise teams.
