Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to define and govern data usage across the Building Engineering Services Business Group. You will coordinate SMEs, establish data standards, and enable data reuse to support project delivery and analytics.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, strategic leadership, and alignment with HDR’s employee-owned culture and values. This is a full-time position in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Architecture Engineering.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and managers.
• Commitment to HDR values and quality improvements.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Establish SME network to define technical standards and align with BES data practices.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions for terms supporting data models.
• Promote data fluency across BES and ensure data reuse.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Regularly communicate with Data Stewards and Enterprise teams.
• Define data glossary and ensure data is defined consistently across projects.
