University Health in Lakewood is seeking a BH Patient Access and Scheduling Specialist to interview patients, gather demographic and financial data, and enable access to clinical and financial systems.

You will schedule appointments using the electronic scheduling system, verify insurance, coordinate referrals, and collect co-pays, while completing all admission and registration paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in clerical, patient contact, hospital business office or insurance.
• Strong communication skills to interview patients and families and coordinate with staff.
• At least 1 year as a Patient Access & Scheduling Representative preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial data.
• Schedules patients via the electronic scheduling system.
• Gathers and records financial and insurance information; coordinates referrals.
• Validates information, obtains pre-certification and authorization for services, collects co-pays; completes admission/registration paperwork.
