Job summary

SEARHC is seeking an intake/front-desk support role in Southeast Alaska. The intake specialist greets patients, collects demographic and insurance information, and enters data into the electronic health record to enable accurate billing.

The role supports scheduling, telehealth coordination, and referral processing while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days for residential sites.
• First Aid required for residential sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and family members at the designated facility.
• Check patients in and out for appointments and schedule follow-ups.
• Enter demographic, financial and insurance information into the EHR.
• Schedule telehealth connections for clients to connect to/from other locations.
• Identify and escalate priority risks to clinic supervisors.
• Process, accept, and track referrals/consults for the clinic.
• Open/close duties and maintain confidentiality of information.
