Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, AK seeks a Behavioral Health Access Representative to greet patients, check them in/out, and schedule appointments including telehealth. You will verify demographics, insurance, and authorizations, entering data into the EHR with accuracy.

This role also serves as the first contact for crisis and requires maintaining confidentiality while supporting clinical staff and performing opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS within 45 days for residential sites where applicable.
• 2 years of office experience preferred.
• HIPAA privacy rules knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and family members at the facility; check in/out and schedule follow-ups.
• Collect, verify and enter demographic, financial and insurance information into the EHR for accurate billing.
• Schedule telehealth connections and intake appointments; process referrals and admissions.
• Open/close duties and maintain confidentiality of information; ensure secure handling of documents.
• Scan documents and enter data; maintain accuracy and timeliness in data entry.
