Job summary

SEARHC is hiring a Patient Support Coordinator in Southeast Alaska. The role serves as the initial contact, answering calls, handling patient queries, scheduling appointments, and guiding patients with attention to data accuracy and privacy.

Office experience and strong communication are essential. The position offers a stable schedule (Mon-Fri, 8-5) and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• 1 year of office experience or customer service is required.
• Knowledge of customer service general office functions and computer applications.
• Experience in a medical office or call center is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and respond to patient queries with professional etiquette.
• Schedule appointments and enter demographic/insurance data into the electronic health record.
• Coordinate benefits across multiple insurance carriers and refer uninsured patients to a Financial Counselor.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and escalate issues as needed.
• Support multiple locations within the SEARHC consortium.
