Job summary

MeBe is expanding its team and seeks empathetic individuals to join our ABA therapy program for children with autism. As a Behavior Technician, you will work 1:1 with keddos in home settings or at MeBe’s Learning Center, following BCBA-developed plans to boost communication, social, and daily living skills.

You will document progress in Central Reach, clock in/out per ABA guidelines, and help with sessions while maintaining safety and organized spaces.

Qualifications

• Part-time availability Monday through Friday.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• RBT/CBT certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Background check required.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and/or run.
• Experience in child care preferred; teaching, counseling, babysitting.
• Proficiency with computers.
• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center clinic.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• Relay progress to BCBAs to assist with BCBA assessments.
• Record the kiddo’s behavior and progress in Central Reach at session end.
• Clock in/out and submit notes to align with ABA and provider regulations.
• Keep the workplace safe, organized, and shipshape.
• Assist with lunch, bathroom breaks, and diaper changes.
• Support sites with tasks as directed by Site Director and Supervisors.
• Raise questions to supervisors and participate in treatment planning.
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Contribute to the MeBe Family culture.
