Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is hiring a paraprofessional/behavior aide in California to support students with diverse needs under an IEP.

You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive social and behavioral skills, while maintaining a safe, supportive classroom environment. The role involves direct student support, de-escalation and crisis strategies as needed, and close communication with parents and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement plans and record data on behaviors and progress.
• Utilize behavior support strategies and crisis management techniques.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
