Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support assigned students with IEP goals in diverse educational settings. You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role emphasizes individualized support, de-escalation techniques, and close communication with parents, with opportunities for professional growth and access to SESI’s PBIS framework CASE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress, and incidents.
• Use behavior support and intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting social and behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement to/from locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed based on student needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents about progress and concerns.
