Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beef Shoppe Manager in North Carolina to supervise the beef shoppe and seafood departments, ensure guest service excellence, maintain merchandising programs, and run operations in the absence of the Department Manager.

The role requires hands-on meat prep, inventory control, staff training, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards to maximize sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and selling skills.
• Ability to work well with others and guest interaction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise staff, including training and development.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and operate a computer.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions by Beef Shoppe staff; creates a selling environment.
• Achieves budgeted sales, shrink, and gross profits for Beef Shoppe and seafood departments.
• Prepares products for sale (meat cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, pricing) per Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintains inventory levels and supplies; ensures in-stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operates department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintains high quality and freshness; ensures all products are in date.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to Beef Shoppe staff to ensure satisfactory performance.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed to meet standards.
• Maintains department labor budget and schedules optimal hours to maximize sales and guest service.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
