Job summary

Lowes Foods in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Beef Shoppe Manager to supervise the beef shoppe and seafood departments, oversee guest service, merchandising, and department operations to drive sales. You will assume duties of Department Manager in their absence.

You will train and guide staff, ensure product quality and freshness, manage inventory and labor budgets, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in cold prep areas.

Qualifications

• Able to interact warmly with guests and create a selling environment.
• Strong selling skills and guest service focus.
• Ability to train and develop Beef Shoppe team members.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Experience with meat/seafood operations is preferred.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work in cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions.
• Achieve budgeted sales, supply/wrap, shrink, and gross profits for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments.
• Prepare products for sale (meat cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing) according to Lowes Foods Standards.
• Maintain the desired level of inventory and supplies for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintain high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the Beef Shoppe and seafood department staff to ensure Beef Shoppe hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintains the department's labor budget and ensures that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
