Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force, bridging RF capabilities with DoD requirements. Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations; remote work may be available depending on location.

You will support field trials, architecture benchmarking, and technical demos across airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks. Requires 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech, SDR/IP familiarity, RF test equipment knowledge, and SECRET

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field; or HS diploma with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsabilités

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound and benchmark competitively.
• Align with BD team to meet strategic priorities and technical needs.
• Build and present demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and end-to-end network test plans.
• Perform market research on partnerships and integration opportunities.
• Engage with DoD stakeholders to translate requirements into roadmap inputs.
