Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer focused on US Air Force needs, bridging RF capabilities with defense program requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate tech capabilities and field-readiness across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel to field tests and meetings; a SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one is needed; a remote working option may be available

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a C5ISR field or related technical degree with 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and scripting (Python/C++) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures are sound.
• Align with Business Development to meet technical needs and priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for airborne, tactical edge, and expeditionary networking.
• Perform market research to identify integrations with industry partners and end-to-end networks.
• Engage with Air Force program leads and laboratories to translate feedback into roadmap input.
• Travel to customer sites and labs for field tests and demonstrations.
