Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to work in Plainedge, NY. The role supports students with behavioral interventions in school settings, requiring collaboration with educators and families.

The position can be part-time with fee-for-service or full-time, offering extensive benefits and professional development. Travel between districts is required, and the role emphasizes data-driven practice and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in one of the listed fields.
• NYS BCBA, NYS BCABA Certification and/or LBA required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify function and plan interventions.
• Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with student needs.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide coaching and modeling to classroom staff for consistent implementation.
• Support IEPs and participate in CSE meetings, ensuring behavioral programming aligns with objectives.
• Travel between districts to provide on-site consultation.
