Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant / BCBA on Eastern Long Island, NY. The role supports students with individualized behavioral plans and collaborates with school teams and families to implement evidence-based strategies.

The position offers part-time or full-time opportunities with comprehensive benefits, professional development, and potential for BACB CEU credits. Travel between districts is required, with a focus on student progress and data-driven interventions.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
• Master’s degree in one of: Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services.
• NYS BCBA, NYS BCABA Certification and/or LBA required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a setting supporting children and families.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school administrators, teachers, teaching assistants, aides, related service providers, and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify function of behavior and develop interventions.
• Design, implement, and monitor BIPs aligned with student needs and educational goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and feedback to classroom staff for consistent implementation.
• Collaborate with school teams to support IEPs and ensure behavior aligns with objectives.
• Participate in CSE meetings to present progress and needs.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/FERPA and company policies.
• Develop professional development workshops and staff trainings on behavior management and data collection.
• Complete timely documentation: progress reports, notes, assessments, data summaries.
