Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking an ambitious Manufacturing Engineering Intern for its Gigafactory. You will quickly become proficient in lithium-ion cell technology and work on high-speed, automated manufacturing methods to produce top-quality batteries.

The program runs 12 weeks as a full-time paid internship onsite. Candidates must be enrolled in a related engineering program with a GPA of 3.2+ and have completed at least two years of college.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Demonstrated experience solving hands-on engineering problems with ability to articulate technical detail.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to battery cell manufacturing process improvements for mass production lines.
• Designs and tests improvements for existing production lines to enhance safety, quality and productivity.
• Analyzes and evaluates machine and test data to guide decisions.
• Assesses procedures and equipment to reduce time and cost of manufacturing processes.
