Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Cell & Process Engineering Intern to help drive improvements on the Gigafactory floor. You will work with world‑class teams to learn lithium‑ion cell manufacturing fundamentals and apply them to high‑speed, automated processes.

The program runs for 12 weeks as a full‑time paid summer internship, with start and end dates in 2027. Enrollment must be ongoing at a fully accredited university in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full‑time in a 4‑year engineering degree.
• Minimum GPA 3.2.
• Two years of university coursework completed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong engineering skills: process development, troubleshooting, data analysis, tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Join Cell and Process Engineering (CPE) to support production and drive process improvements.
• Develop cell manufacturing processes for mass production to improve quality.
• Define and adjust cell specifications and introduce new materials/technologies.
• Conduct development work on existing production lines to boost safety, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze failure modes and life expectancy.
