Job summary

Panasonic Energy invites applications for a full-time paid Summer Internship in Cell & Process Engineering at the Gigafactory in Nevada. The role targets students who have completed at least two years of a relevant engineering degree and maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA.

You will work on mass production lines, apply process improvements, and learn advanced lithium-ion cell manufacturing techniques. The 12-week program runs from May 17 to August 6, 2027, onsite with opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program (Chemical/Materials/Mechanical/Industrial).
• GPA 3.2 or higher.
• Must be able to work on both manufacturing floor and office.
• Engineering skills: process development, troubleshooting, data analysis.
• Knowledge of FTA, FMEA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support Panasonic’s Cell & Process Engineering team to ensure smooth battery production.
• Devise process improvements for mass production lines to improve quality and output.
• Define and update cell specifications and introduce new materials/technologies.
• Conduct development work to improve safety, quality and productivity of lines.
• Analyze procedures to reduce time and cost of assembly processes.
